Lori Mason is a textile artist living in Portland, Oregon. She create memorial quilts for bereaved individuals and families from the clothing of their deceased loved ones. Each quilt has its own story and becomes a treasured remembrance piece that has the power to transform grief and offers comfort and connection through memory. She began making memorial quilts after a personal loss over 20 years ago. She works individually with clients both locally and over long-distance, establishing a sense of trust, respect, and dignity through personal conversation and sharing of ideas and approaches the design of each quilt very carefully, creating custom patterns to capture the spirit of the individual. Lori works abstractly and elegantly, making each quilt into a piece of art to be cherished over time.
