About Tammy Ruggles: I'm a legally blind photographer and finger painter in Kentucky. A point-and-shoot camera set on auto, a 47-inch computer monitor, and my remaining vision helps me to practice photography. When it comes to finger painting, it's an art form I had never tried until a Facebook friend suggested it. Both photography and finger painting began in 2013, so you could say that was the year art found new life.
These images of grief are universal, but personal too. I've lost loved ones who were very dear to me, and sometimes art expresses grief in a way that words cannot.
