The Grief Diaries is pleased to offer weekly grief-themed writing workshops at Columbia University in the City of New York. These workshops are taught in collaboration with Columbia Artists/Teachers (CA/T), a creative writing program that has provided no-cost arts education to the NYC community since 2002. CA/T's writing workshops and seminars—which present the opportunity for an educational artistic outlet, developing literary talents—encourage sharing, discussion, critical thinking, and creative expression. The instructors are graduate students currently enrolled in Columbia's MFA program, and they are experienced, dedicated, and passionate about teaching writing. Our workshops will provide members of our community with the opportunity to read literature about various forms of loss, as well as create their own original works around this theme in a safe and constructive environment.
In Fall 2017, our workshops will be held on Friday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30pm at Columbia University's main campus on 116th St. and Broadway. Workshops are free and open to the public.
